Everything about the place where I live in. My birthplace and my home: CEBU!

Island Hopping in Mactan, Cebu

Under the sea! Cebu is blessed with rich marine diversity.

One of the most common activities which I often hear from visitors requesting instead of me suggesting is Island hopping. There are plenty of places to go Island hopping in Cebu but the easiest and most convenient would be in Mactan. Just less than an hour away from Cebu City, the Island of Mactan is well known as a diver’s school ground for basic diving courses, and also a favorite activity among tourists: Island Hopping. The best thing about Island hopping in Cebu is that it’s not just going from one island to another, you actually get to swim in the waters, dock on the islands and experience the natural beauty surrounding you. It’s you stepping away from the city and just experience the Islander’s life.  Continue reading

Lakwatsa Resto Loung: Byahe Cultural Show

Chattering women, men in engaging in tomfoolery, feathers and patterns in a flurry of hues, serenading suitors, and a variation of dialects – One would expect this to be a quick tour through the different cultural colors of the Philippines. When was the last time you experienced a good tinikling dance? Or how about a charming harana? Have you even heard of hilarious Bisaya songs and with matching dances? Well, last Wednesday, I was lucky to experience all those. Continue reading

Mozilla Firefox in Cebu!

Mozilla Firefox Freebies

Mozilla Firefox Party Goodies and prizes!

Yesterday, me along with my partner: Ruffy, had a small party with a group of bloggers and web developers in Cebu. It was a very simple party and it had one aim. We wanted to build awareness of the latest browser version of the Mozilla Firefox: the Mozilla Firefox 4.

I remember back in my teenage years I first was introduced to the internet and I was still using a certain browser. Let’s say that browser’s name was Othernet Discoverer. Though I used Othernet discoverer, I was unhappy with the performance and especially the clutter in the screen when there were too many windows open. Then that was when I discovered Mozilla Firefox. Stand up if You Wear Skechers

Once upon a Saturday, me along with 6 other bloggers were invited to go to this cool “field trip” with an awesome Ms. K. Ms. K, or Katrina cheerfully greeted us during the early hours of the mall opening and we were led to the first stop of the tour.

Before I’d like to start describing details of the different stops we had, I’d like to clarify that I did not get paid to write this and I’m no fashion expert. If I have any comment here about footwear, this is based on my opinion and interest in particular shoes.

Skechers

In our first stop, we toured and tested the products of Skechers. What’s currently on trend is the Skechers shape ups.  You can see it constantly being promoted in their store and for a good reason too. You see, I made a Skechers Shape ups review before, and Imma tell you, I do not regret ever buying these kind of shoes.

Ms. K patiently handled her students (us bloggers) while teaching us what’s so awesome about the Shape ups. In fact, to further demonstrate how nice it feels, she let the gang wear a pair of the shape ups each! Rabsin was in love with a particular blue pair and when Iggy took off his, he said he could feel the change in the feeling of his feet when he went back to his own shoes.

I totally agree with Iggy since I also feet a significant difference in my feet whenever I wear a different pair of shoes (especially when I wear them formal leather shoes, ugh). The Skechers shape ups are soft to the base! I can honestly say after almost a year of wearing my own pair I really really love it. It feels like stepping on foam whenever I make a step. Thus, I dub thee Shape-ups a new name: Pillow shoes!

For those who are concerned about design more than I am, there are a lot of varieties in the Skechers Store. They even have  newer versions of the Shape ups, ones for running, and ones for working out. I might consider the running one.
