Globe Service Center in Ayala Cebu

Globe Service Center Cebu

I was having some connection with my Globe Tattoo Cebu Connection so I decided to head over to Globe.

I like how they’re conveniently located in one of the malls that I often go to so this was not really something I had to schedule to go. When having some problem checked I suggest going around 10-11 am in the morning where the waiting line is short or sometimes, no line at all.

One fine Thursday I needed to go to Ayala to have my mobile internet service checked for my Globe Tattoo Cebu connection. (Yes I’m playing with keywords here so don’t mind the location specific nouns :P ) Fortunately Maldeetuhramblings and soloflightED were present in the vicinity (in Coffee Bean Tea leaf in Ayala Terraces) and so I decided disturbed their peace to make space for myself. (muhahahaha)

One Cebu Expo 2010 in CICC Mandaue

One Cebu Expo 2010

A wonderful Horse by Cebu Homecraft greeted me at the entrance of the Expo

Just recently my mom and dad wanted to check out the awesome One Cebu Expo 2010 in CICC Mandaue.

I was able to hear about this previously and I guess curiosity got the better of me so I decided to tag along too. Well I should say I wasn’t at all disappointed with paying the One Cebu expo 2010 a visit.

The One Cebu expo 2010 is just in Mandaue CICC and will continue to be there until August 16 (I think). There are a lot of things to see and appreciate there and I dare say it was worth my while to observe the different displays in there.

UP Cebu: Native Species Reforestation Seminar

August 5th, 2010

Posing by the poster

Last July 15, 2010 (yes this is a late post) I had the rare opportunity to join an informational seminar on Native Species Reforestation.

Because the day before was a storm, the whole connection from Manila to Cebu did not work. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this is a simultaneous webcast with Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Hi-tech yes? (Nag level up na ta!)

Since the connection was poor we had to stop it altogether and fortunately Sir Joel Lee decided to stand up and say a few things about what we could do instead.

Gakken Technologies: LCD Projector with interactive screen

Last Saturday I made mention of a certain event in Waterfront Lahug. There was the cebu goes culinary 2010 and alongside with it was the Manufacturing Technology Cebu 2010 where a good number of the Manufacturing companies in Cebu displayed their services.

Once again I would like to thank Ms. Maldeetuhramblings for dragging me for the spontaneous visit to the Manufacturing Technology Cebu 2010. The place was awesome with some of the best manufacturing technologies in Cebu.

Photoblogger goes to Cebu Goes Culinary 2010

Last Friday I Ms. Maldeetuhramblings.com decided to drag me to Waterfront Hotel for the Cebu Goes Culinary 2010.

This is not the first time that I have heard of the event since I heard about this last year but it was more extravagant than this year. I heard stories about Chocolate sculptures and stuff. But the Cebu Goes Culinary 2010 now has a different set up.

They had several set up for the Cebu Goes Culinary 2010, of different party decorations depending on the party theme. I found it quite interesting as they each had really creative set ups. (though I still wished there were some Chocolate structures T_T )

Another part of the area was a display of the entries for the photo contest for the Cebu Goes Culinary 2010. Quite an impressive set, I felt really hungry right after.

I like how the event was for free. It lasted for three days from Thursday till Saturday. I heard about this from Cebu Daily News email and Jude Bacalso’s Twitter.

But for those who are searching for this event I guess you want to know what exactly was in there. Well here’s a little walk into the eyes of The Photoblogger:

Halloween Theme

When I think Halloween I think orange, black and purple with bats, skeletons, witches and pumpkins. This set up had a very “halloween” feel with the cute decors to match. In fact, the pumpkin they had was too nice to ignore, it was the first thing I shot when I got there. Then they also had some “haunted mansion candelabra” to add to the feel. The set up had a pillow chairs were a good idea for creativity with a dash of resourcefulness instead of getting the usual expensive and exquisite wooden chairs for the antique look.

Pirate Party

Some kids are crazy about Indians and Cowboys but what about Pirates? For those who are fans of the movie where Jack Sparrow was, what was that, Pirates of the Carribean; this set up is just awesome. I think this one really caught the attention of the people because of the decoration surround the whole set up itself. It consisted of a broken pirate ship and in the center was the table set up. Instead of candelabras they used those oil lamps which were used by sailors and filled with whale blubber oil. This has to be my favorite of all the set ups because of the many extra stuff like the pirate party hat, balloon pirate swords and the awesome boat plates.

Bee-tiful Birthday Bash

I’m not entirely sure if this is for the Pooh Bear fans or for Jollibee fans but this set up involved a bright yellow and black color splashing the whole set up. (Me thinks this looks like a certain political person’s color… hmmmm)  But on the lighter side I think this set up is a very nice set up for a garden tea party with the sunny sunflowers and the sunny yellow table cloth and the cute cookies on the plates.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Speaking of tea parties this particular set up is of strong resemblance if not a copy of the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party set up. The colors and arrangement made me immediately say “hey! that’s from alice in wonderland!” Good job to the people who recreated it in Waterfront. I like how they used labels to show who sits where. The White Queen even had her own place. :D

Pinkish Pussy Cat Party

Hello Kitty themed party with lots of pink. Very, erm, girly. Well if you’re someone who wants to relive the child within you then this set up is for you. I was attracted however to the huge collection of lollipops. Oh so good to eat! :D I just had to stay a little further away to avoid drooling on them.
