Minute Maid, Your Pulpy Orange Bottled Blessing

You know how they say that the different natural resources are God’s blessings to us humans? Well think about God’s blessing to us readily bottled for us to drink…

I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe… this was just too good to be true, or was it now?

I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse…carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I… just can’t get enough of this pulpy goodness that my body needs! Fitness and health has been my growing concern and Minute Maid’s pulpy good ness is just what I’m looking for!

So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means… that I can drink this without any worries of anything affecting my body. I can drink this everyday and know with confidence this is totally good for me!

So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added – meaning it’s THAT natural, it’s almost like it’s plucked straight from the tree, it’s just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it’s got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh- the list of preservatives’ bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is ’cause it’s got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I’m gonna use my 10 minute break in school, run to the nearest place where I can buy a Minute Maid Pulpy Orange drink and drink away in class knowing that this will give me a good feeling the entire school day.

Feels good to know about the real pulpy deal, right? C’mon show me a smile on the comment box, and you might win yourself a Really Pulpy Deal! (That’s a chance to win a Minute Maid gift pack simply by commenting. Sweet! C’mon you just might be picked as the lucky ‘commentor’!)

Love,

The Photoblogger, Johnn

Thanks to Janette Toral for informing me about this awesome contest :D Looks like I’m able to join it just in time.

Revisiting my past love

Here’s a little post to take a break away from all those place-featuring posts :P

My idea of a perfect break :P

Ah, those were the days when I would take a jeepney for a straight one ride to the Cakewalker’s Cafe at the Strip in Capitol. I do enjoy those nice cozy mornings where I could easily focus on my work and just think straight whatever I was doing. I guess ever since I found a convenient love (convenient because it’s only a walk away) for Cofifi Cafe I just can’t stop going back there. I can’t help but feel the price difference when it comes to their Ice Blended drinks but does this mean I’ve completely given my farewells to Cakewalkers? Continue reading

Photoblogger Experiences Tech Tanod

Tech Tanods Group Picture

After the first half of iBlog 6 in UP-Diliman I just had to grab the opportunity to join the Tech Tanods in ADMU. Tech Tanod is actually focused on teaching a class on the how-to’s in blogging in the hopes of bringing this knowledge to a new level such as making blogging as a career or even just starting his personal website.

Before we headed over to ADMU we dropped by Kebab Corner for lunch.

The food was kinda okay but I found it too ordinary but as what Ate Karla said, if you’re Yogurt lover then the place will fascinate you. I did enjoy the Huge fan in the restaurant that had water secretions to cool the customer and I finally met THE Marocharim. (gosh his skin is so white, next time I meet him I must ask him what’s his secret)

After we ate we met Yoshke somewhere so that we could pick up the projector for the Tech Tanod session. It was also during that time that we felt like we needed to kidnap someone. So we kidnapped Yoshke and dragged him all the way to ADMU for the session.

Looking down (literally) after being kidnapped

After the ride in the Junedmobile we entered the room for the session and there I met one of my idol Vloggers, Coy Caballes. Apparently blogging Mentor Winston and vlogging Idol Coy were going to be speakers for that day’s session. Winston spoke about making money online (there was something weird about hearing him discuss a certain topic completely in Filipino, it was something like a cross between Filipino, Economics, and Computer class) Then we heard from Coy. Though no matter how simple Coy’s vlogging techniques were, we still learned a lot from him especially the myths about Vlogging.

After the session we knew the whole Tech Tanod experience is not complete unless we have the MOST IMPORTANT part… camwhoring 101.

We tried to go back to UP-Diliman for the group shot for iBlog 6 but we were too late. Just when we thought the camwhoring was over, the Photobloggers brought out their tools. Here you can see Juned shooting with his tool.  Winston also takes out his monster with a 35mm f/1.8 to show of to the gang.

We also had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with Mak mak and Mic Mic. Unfortunately the pictures of Mica were taken with Maki’s Heavenly 7D (someday ako rin).  To the folks at Tech Tanod thanks for the wonderful opportunity.

Once upon a Time in Cebu: Touring Cebu

Candidates, I mean Characters of "Once upon a time in Cebu"

Let me tell you a story, and let’s begin with a “and they left Cebu happily ever after.” So who are they? What happened in Cebu? Why were they happy? Well to tell you that story, contrary to the traditional story which starts with “It all began when…” or “Once upon a time…” This story I shall share will begin with how it all ended.

Once upon an ending three manila based bloggers by the name of Mica, Bong and Winston are off to Manila. But before they flew back to Manila a series of events happened which made a certain Photoblogger appreciate the beauty of Cebu.

Before ending the trip, the trio along with Sinjin, Doyzkie and The Photoblogger decided to go check the popular places in Mactan. It was fine Sunday afternoon when the sun was already about to set. Since the story is in reverse we’ll start with how we were already leaving the Mactan and were in Doyzkie’s car taking shots from his sky window.

A shot of the bridge road

They were in fact coming from a beautiful place as depicted by the picture below. The Marcelo Fernan Bridge actually has a pretty park underneath it. Doyzkie decided to take the gang there. Then the camwhoring happened

The beautiful park underneath the bridge

It was just around this time of the day where the waves playfully crash against the rocks along the shores of the park.

Crashing waves against the rocks under the bridge

The group also chanced upon some  of the young locals jumping in the water.

Taking the leap

Did I mention that these people are camwhores? Oh yes they are worst imaginable camwhores possible. They feast on the delicious feeling of the camera flashing away their bodies. They shift their position this way and that. They don’t fear for the life of the poor camera which is slowly dying away till its last actuation. Want proof? Look below.

Bong wanted the same shot like winston's

As camwhoring is very dangerous for a normal person’s eyes so you may relax your eyes of the beautiful place before you continue damaging your eyes with the next photos.

Okay I do hope you are ready for this. I will warn you that this will be unhealthy for your eyes.

And that’s what happened underneath the bridge. Ever wondered why simple place visits turn into hour long visits? You just got a quick look of what happens.

Another shot of the majestic bridge

My first shot ever of Mactan's Marcello Fernan Bridge

Prior to the visit under the Bridge the gang decided to go to Mactan Shrine where more camwhoring actually happened. As to how the camera survived scientists and historians are still baffled by such endurance.

So the story continues to move backward as we now see our adventurers the day before in the cold mountains of Busay. Ah yes, such a wonderful place to be in. Getting a good look of the city and yes, more camwhoring took place.

A crude shot of the City lights view

Of course with a mixture of wrong settings and a totally wrong white balance you can come up with a really “right” picture. Blue Doyzkie FTW!

The tourists are now composed of Atty. Ouano, Bryan, Brian, Mica, Winston, Doyzkie (special thanks to him for bringing the gang around) and a certain anonymous character.

Mica also wanting to take flight

Bong thinks he can fly

While in Waterfront Lahug Bong and Mica decided they could fly. They did try but to their great dismay, the realized they were heavy to do so. Lesson learned is that only nuns can fly because they have habits which look like wings. Besides they look aerodynamic.

I tried to shoot the ballroom when these two jumped in

Then you also have those totally random objects not related to the story but you just can’t help it when they’re too cute to ignore

Too cute to be ignored

The following pictures that will follow will hopefully narrate the tragedy that occurred in Waterfront Cebu. The pictures are too sad too see so just scroll down a little bit fast..

It's like a cross between "Katorse" and "May Bukas Pa", though I remember Santino not to be a huge person

The gang actually ate in Oh George resto where Doy doy suggested. So armed with lotsa cash they dipped in this seemingly Chinese restaurant. (Chinese because you can see lots of them typical chinese families there)

Bryan no longer listening to the conversation

California Salad (I loved the combination of crab meat and mango)

Quesedillas for appetizers

Now we come to the end of the story which in fact is where the story actually started. You can see the gang doing whatever it is they do when they stay in Starbucks while trying to contribute to the lack of space in Ayala Terraces during a very very crowded weekend. Great job guys!

And there you have it folks. The end of our story where it actually started. I do hope you enjoyed this little picture-story like a kindergarten student. (Don’t we just love those books with less words and more colorful pictures?)

Below are the pictures of the cast for this post’s story.

CBS Meets Yehey.com: Yehey for Photoblogger!!!

***

It was a great opportunity for Yehey.com to meet with us the Cebu Bloggers Society at the same time offer us the chance to do a food review for La Maison in Ayala Terraces.

At first I was curious to see what this Yehey.com company had to offer, and when Mr. Lim started talking I was greatly amazed at the story behind this search engine.

Yehey.com
Initially the company was at a loss in digits which I can’t even imagine. They company had to start doing something or they were goners. Now they did notice that most Big companies at that time did not start making any websites and people nowadays are looking for instant information online. This only means that there is big market where people go.

Surveys show that Filipinos are Number one in Social Networking sites, number two in uploading photos, and number two in Blogging. We are such a big online community that we are a potential market. That is why they came up with their blogger-Client relationship.

Seeing as we Bloggers are unbiased representatives of the consumer population, they chose us to be their critics and judges. Now, Yehey.com PR activities have been going on as long as 1 year and a half and for the first time, they are now reaching out to the Cebu Blogging Community.

Our first task? La Maison Food Review
