Last Saturday on July 11, 2009, Cebu Bloggers Society was invited to one of the most awaited blogging events in the year. For me its usually iBlog and Digital Filipino Club. Now, that awaited event has come.
I’ve waited for this event since last year and I was pretty excited for this event. In fact, I disappeared from any party, event or activity so that my parents just can’t say no when I ask permission to go to this event. And indeed I did go to the event.
Prior to the event, we had a meeting with the Cebu Bloggers Core Group and I found it very fruitful, having covered a great number of concerns in the group. After which we had our shirt distribution. We were pretty excited for our shirt designed by our very own Prince Ryan Gilig. Great job Yan! You’ve done it again. First with our object of envy “Blogger Ko Bai” shirt and now with the most wanted shirt “Live, Love and Blog” shirt.
We started walking from IT park Mcdo to Waterfront PAGCOR where the event was to be held. We all wore our shirts with pride.
We started eating ahead and took some pictures before the program proper begun.
Tita J had a wonderful presentation about DFC and the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs.
Digital Filipino Club
Digital Filipino Club or DFC as it is popularly known is actually a network of very powerful companies and corporations in the Philippines. Some names such as SunStar, Globe Telecom, PAGCOR, and Yehey.com are part of the said group.
We all know that the internet is a great source of income generation and a great source of advertising. But how do we make use of this powerful resource? Who can teach or guide us? Who will be our connections? DFC is the answer to all these.
DFC provides promotion, training, network, publishing, and research for its members so that they get more than what they pay in their membership fee.
Membership prices are as follows:
Corporate Membership $400
SME members $240
Individual Membership $100
Currently they have over a hundred members and a good number if not all are influential figures and names in the county. In fact, our very own Aileen Apolo a.k.a Miss Google Earth is a member of DFC.
One day I do hope to be a member of this said group. 100$… hmmm.. adsense much? ![]()
I’d say this is after all a good investment.
*the group pictures with CBS will be followed up in a next post. Keep updated to check it out
