CNU Butterfly Sanctuary: Talisay Butterfly park

The Cebu Normal University Biological Society

Last Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to be invited by the Cebu Normal University Biological society to their turn over ceremony which was in Talisay Butterfly Park.

I was informed that a few years ago the place did not have much butterflies but now they seem to have more specimens than before. It was rather unfortunate that when I went to their sanctuary it was no longer as green and lush as it was before. This is probably because of the drought. Even the rivers and dam had no water left.

The ceremony included handing over certificates to the past officers and welcoming new officers. The symbolic passing of the Key of responsibilities (A USB) was given from Jen, the ex-governor to the newly appointed Governor: Rommel. Congratulations to the new set of officers :)

Oath taking of the new officers

The ride going to Talisay was via a new school bus of CNU. Pet of Southwestern University and I were very honored to be one of the first students to try out this bright new school bus. (My gash, maytag naay in.ana amo skul)

The experience was very wonderful. I felt in touch with my nature loving side again. Thank you very much Cebu Normal University for inviting me to this important ceremony.
