I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a hug fan of Cosplays but they are quite interesting considering that I dunno of that many shops that sell costumes of anime characters so our Cebuanno Cosplayers end up having to use their own resourceful skills to come up with an awesome costume.
Last Saturday August 14, 2010 Cosplay in SM Cebu filled the Northwing Center. Anime lovers, cosplayers, and hobbyists gathered to enjoy the array of costumes walking around the mall while the huge sale was happening. This was actually a Nationwide Cyberzone Cosplay where there was also cosplaying in Luzon and Mindanao along with Cebu.

I only got a few shots as I was only there for 10 minutes so do forgive the not-so-nice photos as the lighting was very poor and I can’t afford an external flash just yet. T__T

It was interesting to see Veniche (my schoolmate) communicate in Japanese with the cosplayers to have their photo taken.

I’m happy to also have taken a picture of a character from one of my favorite animated shows: Avatar: The Legend of Aang. Which reminds me, there will be a sequel to that which is Avatar the Legend of Korra. I’m soooo excited! It’s still on 2011 though. Whew.

Uh hi, came across your blog from the Velez Times and I was amused to see this XD
Anyway, uhh, the cosplayer in blue outfit and white wig (first upper left photo) is Yukiko Akai, cosplaying as Suigintou from Rozen Maiden. She won first place for this event.
The upper right photo is Maki Akai, Yukiko’s sister… Sadly, I have no idea what she was cosplaying.
