Enchanted Kingdom Magicalympics: Photoblogger’s Surprise
When I came to Manila, Eric informed me that there was this free event in EK for bloggers, so he signed up Bryan and me. At first I didn’t know what it was all about, all I knew was that we got a free ticket and I guess I was excited for anything free. (lol, me and my chinese blood)
Anyway, I have to say, it wasn’t only the fact that I was going to EK that excited me. The most exciting part had to be being able to hang out with Rell, Mica, and Han Han. So it was quite a disappointment when Hannah couldn’t go.
When we got there, I was greatly surprised that we had the whole park as a venue for THE MAGICALYMPICS which was a lot like the Amazing Race, except, we had to do it with the rides. I’ve personally been to Disneyland (HK, Cal, and Cal Adv), Six Flags, HK Ocean Park and Universal Studios, and I can say I enjoyed my time in EK more than I did at those international Theme Parks. Why?
The Magicalympics
The Magicalympics composed of different themes and we had to finish all ten pit stops until the last one. The first pit stop for our team (Orange pandas), was the Dodgem Bump Cars. We had to collect all 5 flags for the next clue. It was one rough ride. Instead of the usually jampacked bump cars ride, we were only 7 cars. So talk about speed, I even got a scar from it all.
Another pit stop was the Wheel of Fate, the Ferris wheel. We had the ride the gondolas and look from on top to see the landmarks and answer the questions indicating which landmark. We didn’t get all of them. I had a pretty bad eyesight so I couldn’t see the places.
One pit stop involved the use of Headbands with plastic cups glued on and with water filled in it while we rode the Log Jam. Basically, we weren’t afraid of getting wet. We just didn’t want our Gadgets to get wet (bloggers and their toys).
After the Log Jam we were very wet and we headed to the Rialto where we had to watch a movie and have a test on it. How could’ve we focused when we kept shaking in cold and shaking from the moving cars? lol.
The Carousel Challenge was supposedly easy, we were merely supposed to find six horses according to the picture and then ride them.. To this day I still do not know why we had a penalty. (I am guessing it’s cuz of Chris, cuz he took away a child’s horsie)
Then we had Charades in the Raging Rapids area, thank God we didn’t have to ride it. (I hate to get wet.) This was the easiest challenge, our movie titles were: Wolverine and Fast and the Furious 4.
We kind of relaxed for a moment in the Flying Fiesta Challenge. It was easy and no biggie. Ate Aileen did all the work. Yay for our genius team mate 
I kind of lost my voice in the Arcade room challenge. We had to sing the song “Gold” and get the score of 98 in the karaoke. Jonas lead the team (great singer!) but sadly we only got 97.
The next challenge gave me a good laugh. We were only 4 people who rode the Anchors Away since everyone else was either pregnant or weak of heart (si kuya Jay expectant mother daw. lol) And Joriben started panicking in the middle of the ride so he forgot when to throw the Tomatoes. lol
The last challenge, was the longest line challenge. We were to make a really long line. Too bad, we didn’t make it.
After all these, we came in last, but we felt like we won the grand prize. A cool EK giant pen! Ha! A much cooler price than the Free stay in Tagaytay! (sour graping? :P)
FREE TIME
We had our free time after the Magicalympics and I had so much fun! We went back to all the rides (except for Dodgem and the Carousel) Then we had a series of Camwhore. Truly, this was an experience that I can never forget.
