The new Flagship store of Globe in Cebu
If you happen to be in Ayala and just happen to go to the Active zone then you just might have seen a brightly lit store with a stunning display of gadgets mixed with warm lights and beautiful colors.
Am I exaggerating? Let’s take a look of the inside of this store:

Coy in the Globe Sales Zone
As soon as you enter the store you are greeted with all kinds of mobile gadgets that just might be in your wishlist. I know mine was there. Sitting in the center as if king among all the other gadgets: SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB…
Globe Telecom recently closed down their old store which if you can see in this post:” Globe Ayala Cebu ” had a rather simple blue and white color to match their logo. Then if you go inside you will be asked by the guard if you wanna do a transaction or if you have some questions (No matter how complex or simple) then he will hand over to you a priority number. Because your question is very simple you decide to go over to another store while waiting for your turn instead of wasting time waiting. After you get back then do you get pissed off to find out that your number has gone pass OR the line is still really far as apparently this one person in line has a huge problem with his account.
This time, things have changed. Your experience in Globe will definitely change.

Customer Service for complex problems, right beside this is an express lane
See the picture above? Yep, that’s an ACTUAL customer service sector of the whole Globe store. (I tell you the whole place is HUGE) Does this place remind you of an airport or what? Beside the customer service area is an area for simple questions. They now have an express lane to make your life easier. They even have a self-service area.

Coy experiencing self-service :p
Peter, head of the Consumer Mktg. for Globe, gave us a personal tour around the Globe Flagship Store. It’s so huge that Peter himself still had to give us a tour. I think the whole place is 7-8 times bigger than the original store.
He explained to us that the whole place has three major zones. The sales zone is where all the awesome gadgets and plans are being displayed for those who are interested in making a new mobile purchase. The second zone is the service zone where all the inquiries and problems are attended to. Lastly they the Cashier and Platinum zone. The platinum zone is for Platinum users of Globe… hmmm, I wonder how to be one

Peter explained that the whole set up was about creating a whole new experience for Globe customers. Before, getting some problem fixed or question answered in Globe was a very tedious thing as there had to be this SINGLE line which housed everyone with problems whether big or small. Then after your number gets called you are in this “window stall” set up which is very much like a bank.
This time, Globe changes the whole thing as there are some awesome seats with Globe Magazines for customers to read while waiting. The customer service lane and express lane simplifies everything for customers and lastly the place is designed so that the customer service is quite, private and intimate. I especially love how the sales zone is brightly lit while they used warm lights to add a nice feel to the place.
The all new Globe Flagship Store in Cebu is basically one big interactive experience.

Ernest Cu, CEO of Globe Telecom
It was also a great honor to meet the President and CEO of Globe Telecom: Ernest Cu. He was able to converse with the bloggers regarding views of Globe and their many plans to excite to market.
He shared how when he first saw the place he didn’t think anyone would be passing by but now just a week (or a little more) sales have increased twofolds. Wow. He also shared that the sales have been mostly the plans. Mr. Cu shared how the Globe postpaid plans is basically about doing things how we want them. The Super plan was a form of personal customization of one’s plan. Globe was indeed doing it our way.
I wanted to ask Mr. Cu more about the Mifi (something I wanted to replace my dongle with). He did share how this thing was an awesome gadget (and I couldn’t agree more). He did direct me to Vanessa Say for more inquiries about the Mifi. Thank you Ms. Say for answering my questions about it. I’m now strongly considering making a review of it.
After enjoying the tour with Peter and interview with Mr. Cu, the bloggers got to play with some of the awesome gadgets:
