Lola Tessie (real name witheld) came to the community court all alone, with no one accompanying her. She looked around her 70′s or 80′s (no one can really tell nowadays). She has been coming to our weekly community service which was required by our college. She always is present in our activities ever eager to see what we have to offer. Dressed in the same nightgown every week, she musters all her strength to walk over to the pile of chairs to grab her share of seat and drag it over to the group. She pays attention to all the health tips we give out during the community service. But one thing we notice about Lola Tessie is that she love to laugh.
Clad in her only pair of nightgown, carrying her overly large stomach which could’ve been due to heavy parasitism, her frail body which looked like it was just ready to give up, and with her the most beautiful smile..
She laughs at our jokes, blushes at our comments, and does not hesitate to smile at us. She welcomed us without hesitation and she did not treat us anything like an outsider. But after all the activities, we parted ways, and now, she is back to her own life.
Often times, in the pursuit in getting what we desire, we forget that we already have it…

the reason why I like to take candid shots is because it captures emotions better and is more sincere. 5 stars for this photo.

That photo is just gorgeous. It is great to see such a person who still how to appreciate what life has to offer and embrace it.
Thank you tita, we often have everything in the world and yet we envy those who have little.
Nice set of teeth there. LOL. The best things in life are free – we can see, hear, feel, smell, and most of all we are loved. Even the richest persons who doesn’t possess these “things”, they won’t be happy. We must then appreciate life in our own little ways. After all, we are still lucky compared to millions of people starving to death.
