Mactan Hilton Resort (revisited)

Mactan Hilton

Mactan Hilton, The Pink towers

My family had the chance to check in for one night in the Mactan Hilton Resort. I’ve reviewed this place before in my Mactan Hilton Experience back in my blogspot days. I always tell my friends that the rooms in Hilton are so good that you don’t want to go out. Now this time I decided to resist the urge in just lying around in the cool rooms and actually go out and check the place.

Hilton Mactan

Lovely Garden before the beach

The garden is awesome! I like how it was nicely arranged and because the two pink towers behind us were so tall and close to each other it squeezed the breeze (rhyming la! hahaha) and made the garden pretty windy and cool. It’s a great place to just relax and forget all your problems, but me being the online person that I usually am I decided to connect my Globe Tattoo and kudos to Globe for having a good connection. :D No disconnections during my online experience there. The 20 php per hour from Globe Tattoo totally beats the 10$ per hour of the Resort Wifi.

Hilton Mactan Beach

The Beach in Mactan Hilton

The Beach is nothing to be impressed about. The water don’t look too appealing and it looks rather, erm, cramped. I think I’d rather stay on land. I didn’t take any more pictures of the pool but the pool walls looked rather yellow and the water looked like it had a lot of debris. My dad also noticed this even before when we visited the place.

Pool management of Hilton, please to clean your pool. :P ktnxbai

Rooms in Mactan Hilton

Hilton Mactan Living Room

But of course I will never pass the opportunity to just lie around the suite rooms in Hilton. Definitely the best rooms I’ll ever experience :D

Conclusion

Their Suites are sweet, their beach is bad, their pool is polluted (okay I’m exaggerating, it’s still ‘swimmable’) and the garden is great.

I would totally recommend this resort if you’re in for a Business meeting or just to relax and forget the world for a moment. Oh and there’s a live band at night if you’re into music.

  2. Didn’t go to the pool and beach as well when I stayed there. The rooms are great though.

I just popped by next door to Islands Banca, hop onto one and went swimming at the Nalusuan islands. Definitely way better experience :)

Let’s hope my stay in Shang in October will be a different experience with the pool and beach :P

    Wooot! Totally love the rooms.

The rooms in Shang are not as good as Hilton’s but they’re still good.
Remember to take note of the fish feeding schedule and bring your own snorkeling gear. The marine diversity is beautiful! :D
The pool is also nice :)

Hmmm… I was thinking of visiting the place when I go back to Cebu this August. Which resort would you recommend? Except Plantation Bay, Shang and Maribago hehe
