McDo Lent Specials

Fillet-o-fish Value meal

Every Friday I have a whole afternoon to myself. Usually I use this time for introspection and relaxation. I might take the time to read a book, an article or even study.

My favorite study place happens to be McDonalds Jones Branch where they are the only branch in Cebu that provides a projector for business meetings. (you can have meetings in mcdo!)

Fridays during this also happens to be a time of fasting and abstinence. As I have already had my full meal during breakfast I am supposed to only have a small meal for lunch. So I ordered a solo Fillet-o-fish with a separate Coke zero regular. With much I regret I realized I could have just bought the value meal as it would come out cheaper with the fries and hand over the fries to my company that time which was Bryan. (me and my diet T__T)

So the 110php worth of Fillet-o-fish sandwhich and coke zero regular was good enough for abstinence but I could’ve paid 109php for the whole value meal which includes regular fries.

I guess this is the only allowed meal for the Lenten season. (chicken is part of the not-allowed-to-eat list) I did see a good number of people ordering the Fillet-o-fish, sales look good for McDo.
