Merrel: your Outdoor needs

Merrel

When I first saw this store I was quite skeptic. The design was nice but the prices were not to my liking.  I’ll say it out right now that their price range is from 3k-5k per pair. In the world of branded fashion this is a rather practical price but being the stingy Tsinoy that I am, I scoffed and did not look back again in the store. This time however, in the field trip a spokesperson for the store was present thus, a second opinion started bubbling from within.

Apparently, apart from those casual rugged looking shoes that I saw, there were some other cool innovations which I didn’t take particular note of. If you read my Shape ups review you can see that one important criteria for good shoes is one that cannot get wet inside. YES, in any given day, I don’t care if I’m wet from Head to my shins, just PLEASE not my feet and socks. There they had that pair of shoes that is perfect for going around in puddles, wet roads and wherever you wish to walk in without worrying if the water will seep in.

Even more interesting were these cool netted rubber shoes that had the “quick dry” innovation. Ahhh yes. This is what a birdwatcher, biologist, and nature enthusiast like me needs! See these three sets of shoes? *points at shoes below this paragraph* Yep, I want at least one pair, PLEASE, if there’s anyone who will, BUY ME ONE! Or maybe I should try to save up for a pair. *crosses fingers*

Merrel was basically a concept store for those who enjoy an active outdoor life, like me. And if you’re also fashion conscious you’ll be delighted by the idea that the store holds unique designs so you won’t have that HUGE chance you’ll have the same pair with someone.

Barefoot shoes

Oh and for those runner enthusiasts, the barefoot shoes that you’ve been googling around? Well, it’s coming out on April in Merrel :D
