Mizu: Japanese Restaurant

April 3rd, 2009

One night, the family wanted to go out for dinner in a Japanese restaurant, and guess where we ended up in… Mizu in Waterfront Hotel.

Entrance

Cool Floor

A touch of modern design with a taste of Japanese Design
Contemporary Japanese Setting with perfect Ambience

Special Chambers

But even with these perfect elements, the price must be perfect too right?

150 for bottled water?!

Miso Soup

Gyoza- a personal Fave

Salmon Sashimi

California Maki- first time I saw this type of presentation (cream on top)

Agedashi Tofu

Cold Noodles

Onagi (eel)

Ice Cream

Some creamy thing, forgot the name

Over all it was a delightful experience, thank God we ate there for free. :) As to why it was for free that will remain our secret ;)

I am planning my first trip to Japan, and will be flying into Osaka (Itami) and flying out of Tokyo. We plan on visiting several areas like Kyoto and Hiroshima. My question is should we spend the first night in Osaka, or is there a close and convenient option that would be a better choice. Like Nara.
