Mozilla Firefox in Cebu!

Mozilla Firefox Party Goodies and prizes!

Yesterday, me along with my partner: Ruffy, had a small party with a group of bloggers and web developers in Cebu. It was a very simple party and it had one aim. We wanted to build awareness of the latest browser version of the Mozilla Firefox: the Mozilla Firefox 4.

I remember back in my teenage years I first was introduced to the internet and I was still using a certain browser. Let’s say that browser’s name was Othernet Discoverer. Though I used Othernet discoverer, I was unhappy with the performance and especially the clutter in the screen when there were too many windows open. Then that was when I discovered Mozilla Firefox.

I loved using Mozilla Firefox back then because I could easily open several tabs, load my youtube videos (back when you could watch Avatar the last airbender in youtube) and download online surveys software; with lightning speed. Then many years later I discovered a competing browser with a very minimalistic feel. Let’s call that browser Gurgle Clone. Gurgle Clone was perfect for my netbook because there were not too many irritating menu bars.

So my love affair with Mozilla Firefox was cut. Even then I still used Mozilla Firefox for my back up browser. Then recently, March 22, 2011, Mozilla Firefox launched their Version 4 of the browser. All I can say was that I love the new sleek look with a very fast start up. But then I asked myself, what would make me choose MF 4 over Gurgle Clone browser? Ruffy had the answer for me: Group Tabs.

And that’s when I decided to start using MF 4 more often now.

The Party

The Mozilla Firefox party started with an introduction by me thanking everyone for coming over and of course, sharing to everyone my personal Mozilla Firefox experience. Then Ruffy took the floor and started talking about the newest improvements of Mozilla Firefox 4 along with some plug-ins and add-ons which he recommended for bloggers to use. (now that I’m writing about it I should try out that Firebug thingy ruffy talked about)

When everyone was done with their questions, it was our turn to ask questions to the audience. We had so much prizes in for everyone and no one left empty handed. We also had some games (well this is a party after all isn’t it?) and it was fun seeing them play the games and even Ruffy decided to join in too.

The Mozilla Firefox Cebu party was a success and I can say that there’s still something much more in store for Cebu from Mozilla Firefox. I would really like to thank Mozilla Firefox team for supporting the community both online and offline. Mozilla Firefox is truly there for all of us. We would also like to thank Exist Global for allowing us to use the Tech bar for this small party.

So guys, have you tried the Mozilla Firefox 4 already? Try it out now! You won’t regret downloading it HERE
