Nerdy Glasses define me
When I was young I was deeply fascinated with people who wore eye glasses. The nerdier the glasses looked, the more intelligent the person seemed to be. Of course much of this assumption of people wearing glasses to be smart is due to media influence. (yes I’m pointing fingers) I mean come on, it’s plastered in most media influences: scientists with big dorky glasses, or those lanky school nerds who later become millionaires with their precious formulas and algorithms.
And so like any curious little kid I desired to have a pair of this magic contraption which made you (supposedly) smarter. Luckily (or rather unluckily as I found out later) I actually needed a pair of prescription eyewear as it apparently runs in the family. And so I wore glasses from Grade two all the way until now.
I can’t say I hate my glasses. It does give me a certain perspective of things, though it makes me feel uncomfortable during sporty activities or when I do things involving liquids splashing on my face. Maybe someday I’ll consider getting lasik. Admittedly though, wearing glasses does make you feel, I repeat, FEEL smart. o__o

Glasses have officially become a fashion statement. I am guilty about this
especially when my eyebags feast and I have to hide them.
I dread wearing correctional lenses. One time my vision was getting blurry, I skipped the computer for almost a month and drowned myself in squash and carrots! It worked! XD Won’t you opt for contact lenses?
