Yukiko Akai as Suigintou: winner of Cosplay

Maki Akai: Yukiko's sister :D

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a hug fan of Cosplays but they are quite interesting considering that I dunno of that many shops that sell costumes of anime characters so our Cebuanno Cosplayers end up having to use their own resourceful skills to come up with an awesome costume.

Last Saturday August 14, 2010 Cosplay in SM Cebu filled the Northwing Center. Anime lovers, cosplayers, and hobbyists gathered to enjoy the array of costumes walking around the mall while the huge sale was happening. This was actually a Nationwide Cyberzone Cosplay where there was also cosplaying in Luzon and Mindanao along with Cebu.

Iccon Challenge 2010

Calling all food lovers in Cebu!

Do you like/love food? (duh) Well then this will definitely be something you will watch out for. There’s a MAJOR food event in Cebu on October! October 7-9 to be exact.

Last Saturday I was invited to the press launch for the ICCON 2010. No big right? This is just one of those “small food events” where there are some small food display, nothing out of the usual right? WRONG! Read the rest of this entry »

Siam Thai Cuisine Cebu

Siam Thai Cuisine in Ayala Terraces Cebu

It’s been quite awhile since I spent some time with my best friend. Riz and I just came from Badminton session and that meant one thing. We…were…HUNGRY!

Ayala Terraces has a good number of restaurants and one of them offers Thai Cuisine in Cebu.

Quite popular in Cebu and more known as Krua Thai, Siam in Ayala Terraces offers one of the best, and I’m not just saying it, the BEST Thai Cuisine in Cebu. Read the rest of this entry »

One Cebu Expo 2010

A wonderful Horse by Cebu Homecraft greeted me at the entrance of the Expo

Just recently my mom and dad wanted to check out the awesome One Cebu Expo 2010 in CICC Mandaue.

I was able to hear about this previously and I guess curiosity got the better of me so I decided to tag along too. Well I should say I wasn’t at all disappointed with paying the One Cebu expo 2010 a visit.

The One Cebu expo 2010 is just in Mandaue CICC and will continue to be there until August 16 (I think). There are a lot of things to see and appreciate there and I dare say it was worth my while to observe the different displays in there. Read the rest of this entry »

Frozen Yogurt in Ayala!

Froyo in Ayala

And here are my crazy classmates who dragged me to Ayala for this

I guess the Yogurt Craze wasn’t stuck in White Hat in SM Cebu. Ayala has their own line of frozen yogurts in Creamee D Lite.

Froyo in Ayala

Creamee D Lite in Ayala

This was probably why classmates wanted to drag me all the way to Ayala just to try out this Frozen Yogurt. Frozen Yogurt or Froyo as what other people would call it, is now the healthier option as compared to eating your Ice cream or even the sweeter Gelato (twice the sugar of American ice Cream) Read the rest of this entry »

UP Cebu: Native Species Reforestation Seminar

August 5th, 2010 by The Photoblogger

Posing by the poster

Last July 15, 2010 (yes this is a late post) I had the rare opportunity to join an informational seminar on Native Species Reforestation.

Because the day before was a storm, the whole connection from Manila to Cebu did not work. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this is a simultaneous webcast with Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Hi-tech yes? (Nag level up na ta!)

Since the connection was poor we had to stop it altogether and fortunately Sir Joel Lee decided to stand up and say a few things about what we could do instead. Read the rest of this entry »
