Rizal Public Library

Rizal Public Library exterior

For those seeking Venues in Cebu then the Rizal Public Library would be a good place to consider. It’s got a huge hall (sinulog hall) which is fully air conditioned and a nice stage to stand on. The down side is that there are no chairs yet. Read the rest of this entry »

Elsalvador Beach Resort in Danao: A Review

Elsalvador Beach

Elsalvador Beach Resort

Elsalvador Beach is one of the more affordable beaches in Cebu. Cebu is quite popular for its beaches and I guess the need for those who are aiming for budget barkada trips is starting to grow.

An hour plus ride away from the main City of Cebu, Danao’s Elsalvador Beach Resort is a nice place to go to. The Cottage is around 750php. Not bad for the price but there’s no outlet so good luck to those who wanted to bring some music with their big speakers. Read the rest of this entry »

Uncle Moe's Shawarma

Uncle Moe's Shawarma

This post is definitely long overdue. I even forgot the name of the food we ordered T__T My younger brother brought me around Manila when I visited there for the 6th iBlog Summit and a session of Tech Tanod.  Uncle Moe’s Shawarma Hub is located somewhere in Ortigas. (so much for accuracy).

Uncle Moe's Shawarma

Uncle Moe's Dish

Uncle Moe’s Shawarma Hub is a small place with a nice cool interior look. The place was built to be cool because the food was indeed hot! I enjoyed nomnoming all the spicy food there and the sauce was also great. Thanks to my little bro who told me to try this. I hope to go back there when I go back to Manila.

The place is small but nice, no wifi though. They have good food served (but mind the cholesterol). I like how it’s not really expensive and oh, don’t forget the sauce. Give your food a good sauce shower cuz it’s really good :D

I definitely would like to eat there again. Read the rest of this entry »

Legazpi Sunday Market

Legazpi Sunday Market

During the summer I was able to go to the Legazpi Sunday Market in Legazpi Village in Makati. Along with me was the Pinoy Lakwatsero and Kuya Erik, both of them were from around Makati.

The Legazpi Sunday Market showcases a large variety of products from food down to clothes and other objects for sale. I was there basically because I wanted to try the food that I don’t usually find back home.

From what I experienced here’s what I would like to suggest to those who want to try new stuff in the market: Read the rest of this entry »

Adult Brahminy Kite

Brahminy Kite

As I was going through my archives I came across an old set of photos from my old school.  Our school has a medium-sized aviary where two Brahminy Kites were located. They were supposed to be a donation from someone. The Brahminy Kite is a medium sized raptor that is rather common around South east Asia. Here in the Philippines they are locally termed as Banog which is a local term derived from “kite” which is tabanog in our dialect. Read the rest of this entry »

Mooon Cafe at Ayala Terraces

Mexican Food

Mexican Feast in Mooon Cafe

When it comes to delicious food, great ambiance, affordable prices and wifi, Mooon Cafe Ayala Terraces tops my favorites list.

Some may call it a bias but the fact that almost everyone I know who comes to Cebu look forward to Mooon Cafe. So what makes their food so good? And why do I keep going back to spend my week’s savings (hey a student doesn’t have much :P ) on a single meal? Read the rest of this entry »
