Merrel: your Outdoor needs

Merrel

When I first saw this store I was quite skeptic. The design was nice but the prices were not to my liking.  I’ll say it out right now that their price range is from 3k-5k per pair. In the world of branded fashion this is a rather practical price but being the stingy Tsinoy that I am, I scoffed and did not look back again in the store. This time however, in the field trip a spokesperson for the store was present thus, a second opinion started bubbling from within. Read the rest of this entry »

Stand up if You Wear Skechers

March 13th, 2011 by The Photoblogger

Once upon a Saturday, me along with 6 other bloggers were invited to go to this cool “field trip” with an awesome Ms. K. Ms. K, or Katrina cheerfully greeted us during the early hours of the mall opening and we were led to the first stop of the tour.

Before I’d like to start describing details of the different stops we had, I’d like to clarify that I did not get paid to write this and I’m no fashion expert. If I have any comment here about footwear, this is based on my opinion and interest in particular shoes.

Skechers

In our first stop, we toured and tested the products of Skechers. What’s currently on trend is the Skechers shape ups.  You can see it constantly being promoted in their store and for a good reason too. You see, I made a Skechers Shape ups review before, and Imma tell you, I do not regret ever buying these kind of shoes.

Ms. K patiently handled her students (us bloggers) while teaching us what’s so awesome about the Shape ups. In fact, to further demonstrate how nice it feels, she let the gang wear a pair of the shape ups each! Rabsin was in love with a particular blue pair and when Iggy took off his, he said he could feel the change in the feeling of his feet when he went back to his own shoes.

I totally agree with Iggy since I also feet a significant difference in my feet whenever I wear a different pair of shoes (especially when I wear them formal leather shoes, ugh). The Skechers shape ups are soft to the base! I can honestly say after almost a year of wearing my own pair I really really love it. It feels like stepping on foam whenever I make a step. Thus, I dub thee Shape-ups a new name: Pillow shoes!

More photos:

For those who are concerned about design more than I am, there are a lot of varieties in the Skechers Store. They even have  newer versions of the Shape ups, ones for running, and ones for working out. I might consider the running one.

Globe Telepresence now in Cebu!

Globe Business Logo

About two days ago I had the rare opportunity to be invited along with other media people to check out the new facility that Globe developed in their own Globe Telco Buidling in Asiatown I.T. Park.

There set up was really cute showing signs like “Waiting lounge” and our invitations in the form of boarding passes. The whole idea of their new facility was to sort of replace flights for business meetings using the Globe Telepresence Rooms. Read the rest of this entry »

Anyone who knows me would also know my undying love for Dimsum. Dad and mom will never forget that my favorite cuisine will ALWAYS be Dimsum. Whether it is fastfood dimsum, expensive dimsum, or just plain home made dimsum. I LOVE DIMSUM!

Finding a good Dimsum restaurant in Cebu is not an easy task. If you’re up for some fast food Chinese then that’s rather easy. However, if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine and especially some quality Dimsum then that’s gonna be a challenge. Read the rest of this entry »

Close, so Close

Walking around the school campus has never been the same ever since I enrolled for my last full semester in the college of Arts and Sciences in Velez College. The pressure it’s putting in me is really indescribable. Everyday it’s like I’m in a roller coaster of emotions.

Some days I’m super happy and excited. Then there are those other days that I’m just too down and depressed. Then there are also those other days when I just laugh and then go silent. I think I’m going crazy!

It’s not really the graduating part that’s scary but the Med school part.

I’m already having visions of what it might be like when I get there. I’ve been bombarding my sister who’s now an intern in CIM, with questions and I’ve also been asking and asking my father about all kinds of med school or hospital related questions.

I can already envision being in the hospital surrounded with doctors in medical uniforms. I can also hear the announcements going off in the speakers “all medical interns, all medical interns please proceed to Ward 6″.

Then waiting in the counters are the nurses in uniforms, all attentive to the instructions of the doctors rushing in.

The stress and tension building up in this immaculately white building but they are somewhat pacified with the sight of the pedia ward and the Medical professionals in their pink scrubs or colorful uniforms.

As I close my eyes and open them, I come to a realization that I’m just looking way beyond what’s still to happen many years from now. I guess I’ll have to enjoy what I have now. Never you mind the stress that is to happen. Let go and Let God.

Here’s to my last year of College

I miss a cool drink of Sola

Monday blues.

Yes everyone, I’m a normal human being like everyone else and I despise the Monday just as much as you all do. However, I have found a semi cure to this psychological sickness.

The secret to curing the Monday blues is as simple as Julie Andrews’ favorite things song. Read the rest of this entry »
