Schutzen Planner
Schutzen is the name that marks my planner’s anterior covering.
This was actually a gift from my bestfriend and me being a person who is obsessed with preserving prized possesions went paranoid on how best to use it. I even went to the point of thinking of practicing my writing again so that my handwriting could improve before I write on this expensive piece of notebook.
After several arguments with myself on how best to use the Schutzen Planner (one of them involved putting it in a glass casing and just staring at its expensive leather glory) I finally came up with an ingenious idea.

I’ll just use it.
I realized if I keep staring at it forever then I guess the pages will probably turn to dust before I can even use it. I also came up with the idea to use a pencil instead of a pen because being the messy person that I am I tend to make so many erasures that you could swear that’s where 80% of my pen ink goes to.
I cut off some colored ribbons to mark different segments of the planner. The planner had 8 important parts.
1.Profile information – like those page profiles you see in facebook
2.Calendar for year 2010,2011,2012 and 2013 – this thing was obviously ready for me just in case I had no plans of using it.
3.Monthly Planner
4.Weekly planner
5.Daily Planner – seriously this thing wants me to plan my entire life in paper
6.Projects and Goals – where I can write down my BIG projects
7.Notes – well, yeah, for notes
8.Contacts – to keep people I’m most likely to forget

Setting up this planner has become a step back in technology for me. I’ve been using my Palm T|X for the past 5 years as my organizer then evolved to the Eee PC. So what exactly happened? I realized that tactile touch is always better. For some reason there seems to be a greater push of motivation whenever I write in notebooks, planners, or even post its. I do hope that I’ll actually finish whatever I have written in this really expensive planner.
Thankfully the price of the planner won’t go to waste as I can actually buy a refill and still use this awesome cover.
How to use the Planner
This planner actually has 3 important segments which are rather redundant if you ask me. However, after careful studying of my activities I realized they actually are quite important.
For the monthly planner I use it to mark important days or events. For the weekly planner I use it to mark deadlines and meetings For the daily planner I schedule the things I need to do in a day. All in all it is a very helpful tool. So here’s to the first few days in using my Schutzen Planner.

Those three segments make great sense. I would love a planner like that

I’m so in love with it that I can’t seem to let go of it anymore when ever I go around.

That’s a nice planner! Though I am a complete opposite since I use my moleskine to make doodles or spontaneous sketching/drawing while I keep my dates and plans on my iphone since it easier for me to synch it to my macbook.
wow! high class, can’t afford any of the gadgets u mentioned
hahahaha
Lol! We don’t really call it high class here since almost everyone at my school are using both macs and iphones. It’s just a necessity in our line of study and work.
hehe. that’s cool
