Politics for me is one big pain in the ass. When I turn on the TV or listen to the news I am filled with bad news, bad news and even more bad news. I hate to listen or read about updates on rallies, protests, corruption, poverty and the like. People attribute it to corruption and misleading of the government. But one comes to wonder, who put those people up there?
This coming election 2010 we have a chance. The chance to start anew with a whole new set of leaders. This time we came prepared.
Recently I came upon this new site called Political Arena. They strive to give a free convenient Voter Education. Quite an interesting site. It has all the Candidates and their status such as whether they are decided or undecided. They even have basic information such as religion, family members, achievements and brief summary. (this way I get a good look at what these people have done and MIGHT do when they run our country)
Apart from those things, there happens to be a corner (which I actually found very amusing) where the Candidates answer the questions pertaining to political issues of the registered users. So if you might want to address sensible questions you can do so by joining in the political forum.
I was able to get a good background summary of each of the candidates. The site gives unbiased information of each of the candidate thereby allowing the users to have a wider view of the choices for the coming elections. This is a whole new way for us to see the candidates beyond their expensive TV infomercials. Another part of this site which is also informative would have to be the “Breaking News” where I got further updates on hot topics like the recent call for Martial Law in Maguindanao. And I also signed up and voted for my favorite candidate. I hope to see the results of the online poll by the end of the month to see who’s ranking. Check out photos and videos and of course event announcements when you check out their menu tab in the home page.

You can even comment on the answers of different presidentiables.
I made mine here.
Politicalarena.com operates under the network of 88DB.com, the Philippines’ first rich media

I don’t know, if your country is anything like mine, the choices we have to make is either bad, or worse.
There is no good in there.
