Sinulog Fireworks 2010
I would like to thank Sinjin for informing and inviting me for this event and also SM City Cebu for providing us bloggers very nice seats.

It has been quite awhile since I’ve been able to do Fireworks photography. Thankfully I was able to recall some techniques in light delay through the use of Low aperture and slow shutter speed. I was equipped with my tripod, auto focused in an estimate distance from me to the top of the building, and lastly adjusted it at manual focus.

When the competition started the real challenge started pouring in. I had to manipulate the camera with three important things to conisder:

(1)Vertical Adjustments – is the explosion near the ground or further in the air?
(2)Zoom – Is it a wide explosion, or a small explosion?
(3)Aperture and Shutter Speed – Choose among the two to have an adequate amount of light to capture the details of the explosion
After 8 contestants and one beautiful demo later, we came to a conclusion and conestant number 2 from Sta. Maria Bulacan won the Grand prize of 100,000 pesos!

More photos to be updated.
