Sinulog sa Kabataan 2010 Festival Queens

I wanted to categorize my content a little more so I decided to make a separate entry of the different festival queens for the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan.

The festival queen definitely needed to have a dedicated post as I have to say you really need to take a good look to appreciate. The Sinulog sa Kabataan 2010 was basically a preview of what is about to take place this coming Sunday. I am REALLY excited as the Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras has already become a tradition for me as this will be my 3rd year of taking pictures for the Sinulog Festival.

Nothing beats the essence of experience in Photography. It’s really different out there when you’re in a race and having the time of your life. Trying to shoot away that perfect moment, if it ever comes.

The day was quitehot for shooting and shooting with an f/1.8 50mm made me shoot at my lowest ISO with my highest shutter speed. The harsh light was annoying but fortunately I was able to get through with my shots. Shooting RAW is most preferable. I’ll discuss more Sinulog Photography Tips later in another post.

So here’s to tons of pictures of the different contingents for the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan 2010 festival queens. The queens were really pretty and they truly knew how to bring out the royalty from within. Moving with much grace and beauty, we can’t help but remain in awe at their majestic presence.

I am eager to see familiar faces soon in the Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras. See you all soon!

  7. Hi Evanjohn,

I am an editor at theasiamag.com, or asia!, which will soon be re-launched as an online and mobile platform for Asian bloggers and other writers.

Our aim is for asia! to be a place where people can get a feel for what ordinary Asians are thinking and saying and doing, a glimpse of the Asia that lies beyond the news headlines.

Our editors scour the web for fresh thinking and good writing about what’s going on in Asia. We look for interesting or entertaining perspectives on issues both big and small, and we ask these bloggers and writers to contribute their posts or to collaborate with us in one or another way.

Your blog has caught our eye and I am writing to ask if you would like to be part of the asia! network.

This post on the Sinulog Festival would fit nicely into our photo essays section. We’d like very much to be able to use it (or to use parts of it) on asia! and hope we can have your permission to do so. It will appear with your byline and at the end of the essay, we will provide a link to your blog.

We will be marketing asia! in a variety of ways and we expect this to translate into significantly wider readership for the bloggers in our network. As asia! develops, it is likely that some of the bloggers in our network will become paid contributors, that is, we will commission articles.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.

    Regards,
    Carmela Mendoza
