iBlog 5, Photoblogger’s Journey

May 12th, 2009

Last May 5 I finally arrived in Manila and stayed in Hyatt while dad was in a conference for doctors, nothing much really happened and then we transferred to our condo unit in Astoria.

It was quite dull for the next few days and it was only on Friday when started to get fun. Kevin and Bryan arrived in SM and we went to the condo. The next day we went to UP Diliman in the Malcolm Hall. When we arrived there we were one of the early birds. And as of this moment, I am kind of feeling lazy so I’m just gonna list the highlights:

1.I was number 26 sa registrants
2.I was number 230 sa online registrants and yet I had no ID.. Aarrrrgh!!!
3.Thank you Han Han (flaircandy.com) for the ID strap!
4.Rell is very B.I., we went cutting classes kami. tsk tsk tsk.
5.Sarap ng Margaritas Pasta sa Chocolate Kiss
6.Thank you AJ for the Food Desigining (I started eating my food even before taking a pic)
7.I enjoyed the talks.
8.The “card Distributors” sa likod are super kulit!
9.I finally met the famous Az and Jehz.. Masters of the Philippine Blogging Community
10.I was also able to meet momblogger, who happened to be Bisaya too. (and was busy plurking away. I have picproof!)

And here are some pictures from the iBlog event, I do plan to post second batch of pics pretty soon. :)

Hilton experience

April 27th, 2009
***
Our Soft Bed

Last Saturday, we had a free stay in a two bedroom suite in Hilton Mactan. So I took this as a chance to have a break from everything. Blogging, plurking, working, reading, and the rest. I took a break from almost everything I usually do all except photography.

Anyway, Hilton is good place to retreat from everything. Here’s what I liked:

1.Big Rooms
2.Cable TV for each bedroom, and one for the sala
3.suite is very well designed
4.three balconies for fresh air
5.Each CR has a Jacuzzi (which I used to my full capacity *wink)
6.There’s a band which you can listen to everynight
7.They have a pool (which I never saw)
8.They have a playground
9.They have a gym
10.Pillows were UBER soft!!

But basically I only took advantage of the room.

Now for the I-don’t-like part:

1.Beach is far, and is not as impressive as other beaches
2.Not much activity to offer, and if there is, it comes with a big price tag
3.Wifi is at 10$ an hour! WTF?!
4.No toothbrushes in the CR. ugh, i only had to gargle toothpaste *vomit*
5.No free comb. Luckily I use Clear ;)

Anyway, love the rooms, that’s all I’ve got to say. And also, taking pictures of the Tower was a challenge indeed!

Cebu Bloggers Camp Out 2009: Everything under the Sun!.. and the Moon!

Cebu Bloggers Camp Out 2009: Everything under the Sun!.. and the Moon!

Last Saturday April 18, 2009 to April 19, 2009, the Cebu Bloggers Society had their first Camp out activity ever!

I was on my way to Lahug JY when it started raining. Good thing I reached the place before the rain started pouring harder. I arrived at the venue far too early. No one was there yet, so I decided to go buy the grocery for the CBS camp out.

It was really stupid of me to put the money of CBS in the package check in so what happened was I had to wait for Kai to arrive so she can wait with the Groceries while I had to get the money. When I went back to McDo, the guys were already there waiting for the rest. And so we kept on waiting until everyone was set.

When we were about to get a Jeepney, we had a problem since our President was nowhere to be found. Only to find out that he was buying something from McDo. And so we took our leave riding into a jeepney that led us all the way home.

When we got home, we settled down for awhile and got to know each other through the introduce yourself activity. (Grabe si Atty. mag commentator!)
We came to know a lot of interesting things about each other especially since it was an open Forum for everyone. Anyone got to ask any question about each other. After the getting to know you, we had our games. We divided the group into two teams. The Papalicious! (McBilly, Bryan, Tianexx, Mark, Ryan, and Aldwin) and The Wang Wang (Atty. Ethelbert, Kai, Clarence, Timoy, Miong, Empress, and Mikyu).

(I SWEAR I DONT KNOW WHERE THEY CAME UP WITH THOSE NAMES)

Anyway, Mc’coolot and I hosted the games. We started first with the Taboo games and it was more like a test of how much do the members know each other. Then came another game which was really fun too. Charades. Everyone agreed that Miong’s Cornetto (which I swore was a banana), and Atty.’s “Sex and The City” (he “tried” to be conservative)

After the mind games we decided to have the Physical games. One was the Pyramid Cups and the carry the can. Over all the Wang Wangs won.

We then had our dinner and everyone started to Chillax. Some went swimming and others were singing. Markoy got drunk! (lmao) and then after Billy left, we started having talks. We shared our green Jokes and stories and about everything under the sun.

“…di ko musaba, di ko musaba!…”

Everyone went to sleep, well except that is for Atty, Aldwin and Me. We still had a lot to talk about. Of course, everyone couldn’t sleep right so everyone was already up by 5:30 am.

So we had our breakfast then had “Suroy-Suroy sa Busay” Term coined by Atty.
And after we had our litttle picture taking, everyone got back home and prepared to leave.

I had so much fun! I forgot to take a lot of pictures. lol. That was really great, CBS is truly my second family. lol

April 17th, 2009

Last Friday, my dear friend Bea Sagun, decided that the last shoot was cool, and wanted to take it to the next level.

She wanted her accessories to have a gothic feel, yes, a Gothic feel, so we had a shoot at my house.

For those you, I know there are people who are wondering… Strobe lights?
Nope. *smirk on my face… I am using Field Lights. That’s right! Field lights. Those harsh yellow lights that construction sights use. So how did I do it? Well, it has a lot to do with the white balance.

So thanks guys for the shoot! I couldn’t have done it without your help!

(B, please send me the names of the other crew, I forgot their names.. T.T)

AND NOW FOR THE PICTURES! Click on thumbs to enlarge!

Cebu Bloggers Society April 09 Meeting

The CBS FAMILY without me, LMAO

Once again, the ever growing group which I am proud to call myself part of had a general meeting covering very important topics. As for our members, please refer to our forums for the minutes of the meeting.

As you can see now, I am speed blogging cuz I have so many other deadlines to finish, and I know people aren’t gonna read what I write so I’ll just skip to the part where everyone is waiting for… the pictures.

Ash Wednesday Photoblog

February 25th, 2009

Ash Wednesday, a sign that marks the start of the Lenten Season. And of course, a word to all porketarians out there. No meat!

And for food lovers, only 1, not two, not three BUT 1 meal per day.

Moving on, I was able to pass by our school hut where the student council usually place
some gimmick or something. This time, it was YFC, and they posted a sign:

And above the sign is…

Now come to think of it…

Free = Candies (I get this part)
Candies = Cheap
and
God’s love=Free

then God’s love = Cheap? tsk tsk tsk…

Just a thought!
