Wow, it’s 11:08 pm on a weird but beautiful October 14, 2009. The Photoblogger turned 19.
A lot has gone by and I have lot to thank for in life. So is this post gonna be about all the things I’m grateful for? Maybe… Maybe not.
Every year my birthday came as a disappointment to me. Every year it would fall in a very inconvenient week called the Examination week. This year, wasn’t any different. In fact, it was worse.
The birthday started pretty bad for me, after having a really heated argument with my best friend and in turn, my best friend was not able to greet me when the clock struck 12.
It was pretty horrible since my other best friends did not greet me yet. (In exception of Dane Edward P. Frias, Thanks Enad!!!) When I woke up in the morning I saw in front of me my birthday gift. A watch. Wow…

I'll name him... Demilunes (cuz I got that answer right in Histology)
My sister gets a Macbook, several watches, accessories and more even when it’s not her birthday yet my plea for an Eee was not heard. But later did I know why God intended my parents to be too busy to buy me an Eee PC.
Fast forward later 11 am in the morning. I was preparing for my Histology Exam when I received a call from a number which was neither a Cellphone number, nor a landline within Cebu. I answered it anyway.
Lo and behold, Angie from First Tier was calling me on the possibility of having me schedule to fly to Manila for the Asus My Eee PC My Life Blog contest recognition ceremony. For free! I was one of the top 5 finalists!
I had to hurriedly try to reach my teachers so I can reschedule my exams on a Friday and Saturday morning so I could make it to the afternoon schedule for the Event. After which I will be accompanied by my best friend back to Cebu for the Philippine Blog Awards 2009 Visayas sector.
I do hope I win! (cross-fingers)
After the little surprise mom and dad decided to buy 3 Balamban Liempos, 2 pcs. Sr. Pedro Lechon Manok, 2 half gallons of Sugar Free Ice cream, and cooked up some buttered Asparagus and Fettucini with white sauce.
Boy am I stuffed. But after this I will review for tomorrow’s exam at the same time indulge in my birthday cake, egg pie, and ice cream. (mmmmmm)

Bilib gyud ko nimow dane, grabeh, first to greet! 12 am sharp gyud. 
You truly are a best friend from childhood till now. amazing noh how it happened? and it all took a hit with a towel to your eye Maybe I should hit your eye more often Busy ayu life noh? Tiyaga lang gyud ta. And pray. Thanks for everything Enad!!!!!
2.Fruhlein Chrys Redoble Econar
Dah, wa ka gisunggo sa kacompleto sa imow name diri? LOL. Fruh fruh, thanks for everything. For all the weird moments. Di gyud ko ka forget, na you were like helping me practise for the auditions sa King and I dance dance thingy, who would’ve thought I landed the role. Lingaw ayu ato life sauna noh? Cge ra kaon, camwhore, katulog, kalibang. Karon kay Kaon, Camwhore, Katulog, Internet, then Kalibang. Dapat laag niya pud ta again next time.
3.Anesa Amaya Mariz NgYu Blanco
I am still not over how you put your name sa gift tag as “Celeste”. Hahahahaha. Anyway, mingaw na ayu ko nimow riz. All the kabuang nato before. All your chikka about Guy 1, 2,3,4 and 5. Grabeh, you know I hate every single one of them. And you know why. But nevertheless, I am forever thankful for the times we had. Remember ka sauna? Canteen 3 french fries? Mmm. Maybe that’s why I grew thin. Kay we don’t hang out much anymore I’m proud of you riz! Especially now that you’re not afraid of cute dogs Thanks for everything riz! And I forgive you even if you’re sooo late sa pag-greet today.
4.Michael Chua Cotecson
First of all I doubt that a person as superiorly intelligent as you has any time to indulge in the likes of the internet, second I do hope you get to read this so I’m hoping anak will see this and relay this to you anyway. Thanks shoti for the brief one year na we spent together sa College although after that we started to drift apart because of second fiddling and becoming a third wheel. But I don’t regret it. Because through that I became more independent. Thanks Shoti for the times. And remember, tak may tahk nanang oi!
5.Ishmael Thomas Cecillio
Oi Tomas! Lol. I remember we decided to call you that because kato to pag vote vote sa Ms. Cebu thingy sa Ayala. LOL. Anyway, ahia you’re definitely one of the first Ahia’s in my life to become so important to me. Thanks for always being a guidance to me and being a comforting hand and a being a shoulder to lean on when I was in my weakest moments. Sometimes, I wish we were brothers (but then you would also have my genetically weird butt). Thanks for the many times we enjoyed together malling and badminton. (Gay ayu noh? nagmall and badminton? Hahahaha) I know we haven’t had much laag, busy man gyud sa school pero someday pwede niya.
6.Charles Miguel
Charlie! I know we only met online and been talking online. I am forever humbled that you call me mentor and I am super proud of you with how far you’ve gone sa mga achievements mo. Sana hindi mo man ako makalimutan pag sikat na sikat ka na. Salamat sa lahat ng mga times at mga kalokohan natin online. I learned a lot of things while I taught you some things. Kahit once lang tayo nagmeet you feel like family to me. Thanks for everything you’ve done para sa akin “Chuck”!
7.Willand Cuna
Lan lan! oiz! Mingaw na ta nimow. Na lols gyud ko when Anesa was like “kamo ba ni willand?” Hahahahahhahaha. grabeh. Anyway, kaw ba, wala na ayu ka updates. Chikka niya ko sa imow life when di na ka busy hap. Thank you ayu sa tanan nimow gina-do para sa ako. Gamay ra ako masulti now cuz you know na *wink wink* Ma issue napud ta ani ron. LOL! But bitaw oiz, nalingaw ko sa imow mga life experiences that you shared with me and I ‘ve learned a lot in a way that it has made me strong. Thanks very much lan lan.
8.Bryan Karl Yuson
Karlson! Grabeh, thank gyud sa tanan. I can’t remember how we became bestfriends and stuff pero I’m forever grateful for having met you. A caring person, a smart person, a helpful person, a person filled with initiative, and of course: Unlimited supply of Heroes from season1-4! woot! bitaw oiz, nalingaw ko sa ato mga kabuang sa EK and iBlog. Lingaw lingaw niya ta someday. We’re just really caught up with life’s crappy demands of time. Hopefully we can relieve the good old lazy summer days. FTW! Thanks for everything karlson
9.Chairell Winston Canania Almendras
Ahia Rell. I can only recall that time when we first met through the convergence of our two passions. Photography for you, and birds for mine. It was the beautiful shot of the Asian Glossy Starling within the UP grounds that drew me to comment on your site: Batang Yagit. (Patay, naa nay link, sponsored review na gyud ni) And so came the birth of a wonderful friendship. Amongst all the best friends I’ve come across, you are by far the first one that I could see myself in. We were similar in a lot of ways, and you fulfilled my desperate wish to have a twin. Despite the distance you still found ways to amuse me along with Tito Jeh Jeh and the Nyokers. I have learned a lot from your experiences and you have taught me well in this tough world of blogging. I wouldn’t be where I am right now in my accomplishments if not for you. And so I thank you ahia. (daghan pa ko ma say pero hapit na closing time sa Oct 14. 11:53pm naman gud)
