The Road More Travelled

The Road more Travelled

Girl: Why am I different from others??

Old man: Why do you have to be like others?

-Pantene Commercial

The road more travelled is one where everyone seeks to feel to secured and assured. But in this photo, one brave man walks the road less travelled by men. He musters what is left of his strength as he keeps on walking not fearing the risks of the cars, trucks, and motors when they pass by.

About the Photo:

I once mentioned in my previous photo post that color is nice, but black and white does a good deal of drama in the photo. This was shot using my Samsung E590 camera phone. The Photo is not as crisp as it is supposed to be but that’s what gives it the more vintage newspaper photo look.

  • The long road depiction adds more story.
  • Putting the old man at the upper right corner gives more dramatic effect and gives way to the rule of thirds
  • Black and white emphasizes the solemnity of the photo
  • The oddity in the photo involves an old man, weak and frail travelling in the road travlled by  cars, trucks, motors.
  • The Title suggests the contradiction of the photo
  • A slight modification of a Popular phrase can make your title for a photo more interesting
