Vlogging Favorites: Photoblogger’s Choice

July 24th, 2009

I’ve been very much curious at the world of vlogging…

For most of us who are into blogging, we stick to our comfort zones of blogging with text only or using of images found in the web.

For some of us, we actually go into the effort of using only our own personal pictures or pictures we took ourselves (trivia: except for the print screens, Focal Glass uses only images taken by Photoblogger himself)

And now for the brave few, who venture into the difficult world of video shooting, video editing, video uploading (the horror!!!) and video embedding… The brave view of the Vlogging world…

When I went to the 5th iBlog summit, I had the opportunity to meet Coy Caballes of Cokski Blue.
This guy is a really great blogger entertaining all sorts of people in the online community. Unlike the usual vloggers you see just making a list of videos they favorite or copy pasting some viral videos, Coy is the one that makes the videos and the best thing? They are all original.

I particularly like the little summer spoof video of Coy here. (my favorite vid of all, it always makes me laugh)

Anyway, so why feature this guy’s vlog? Actually I am featuring the now growing popular VideoChops. A site compiling a lot of original content and of course designed, arranged, compiled, created, or whatever you wanna say, by our very own…. Coy Caballes.

That’s right, Coy has taken Vlogging to the next level. Apart from the usual personal Vlogging that Coy does, he now has gone into a more deeper field of vlogging involving major events occuring in the Philippines, discussions involving Vlogging 101 and more.

Coy’s vlogging style is one that I can say truly impresses me. When he vlogs it’s more than just informing the people about stuff through videos. It also brings the people to scene as if they were actually there.

I kinda missed the headshot clinic here in Cebu but I got a glimpse of what it would’ve been like in Manila through Video Chops’ coverage of that event.

So what are you waiting for? Bloggers! I challenge you. I challenge you all to become Vloggers in your own way.

(special mention to Doctor Dude and Clado for their tries in Vlogging too. Great job)

Watch out you guys, I might do vlogging myself someday. :)
